In 1980, CEGASA started its
Air-Alkaline battery technology and manufacturing program with a new
generation of High Energy Density Batteries. The constant evolution of
R&D programs allowed CEGASA to improve the battery's performance at low
temperatures and also to avoid the use of all heavy metals in the battery's
manufacturing process (0% mercury - 0% cadmium) and to launch their "Environmentally
Friendly" Green Technology battery range in the 90's.

AIR-ALKALINE batteries have the best cost of energy you can find in
the market.
- One AIR-ALKALINE battery (4AS2/40) can replace
nine (9) standard zinc carbon batteries (4R25). This means there
is a high reduction in total volume to dispose of (see figure 4)
